Preshow Presentation
Our cast members ranged in age from 8 weeks to age 86, we had housewives, hairdressers; farmers, ranchers, teachers, students, preachers, merchants, bankers, judges, skilled tradesmen and artists performing in the show. Several families were represented by 4 generations. They represented 9 cities, from Munday to Austin.

Now Munday did not emerge as a typical western town. A certain sophistication was intrinsic. This may have been because many of the people who settled it had originated in the Old South, now devastated after the Civil War was long over.

Families had been torn apart. In some cases brother had fought against brother. The wounds were deep and it would take a generation for them to heal. Yet, families did come back together as did this nation.
