TALL GRASS - UNSIGHTLY LOTS
This ordinance requires that owners keep lots free from weeds, rubbish, brush, and unsightly or unsanitary matter. It also requires the cleaning of any building or premise of filth, carrion, or other impure and unwholesome matter. A violation of the ordinance will result in the notification by the proper city official in a letter or newspaper publication. The owner has 10 days to comply with a written or published notice by the stated city official. If he fails to comply, the city may clean or have the lot cleaned and fix a lien on the property until the amount charged is paid. The owner is also subject to a misdemeanor fine not to exceed $200.00 per day.
